LIT (Little Insignificant Things)

This mod adds various useful little things to Minecraft that make gameplay more convenient. Although there isn't too much content here, each function is carefully thought out and serves its purpose.

The image above shows (from left to right): improved chest, improved crafting table, and improved furnace.

Improved Chest

The improved chest is crafted from a regular chest with flint above and below it. This chest has an additional row of storage slots, doesn't combine into double chests, and doesn't lose its contents when broken. If there's a non-empty chest in the inventory, a tooltip appears:

Improved Crafting Table

The improved crafting table is crafted shapelessly from a regular crafting table and a piece of flint. It displays items on the table and the finished product, and also preserves its contents when the interface is closed.

Improved Furnace

The improved furnace is crafted from a regular furnace with flint above and below it. It converts any solid fuel (including lava buckets) into a buffer from which it draws energy as needed, eliminating losses when burning a whole piece of coal to cook one item.

Upgraded Furnaces

These furnaces (iron, gold, diamond, redstone, and lapis) are crafted from an improved furnace and two corresponding resources. Each has a unique combination of characteristics and upgrade slots.

Furnace Upgrades

These three items increase processing speed, fuel efficiency, and fuel capacity of the furnace. They are crafted using a diamond, four gold ingots, a lapis block, and either 3 redstone blocks, 3 blaze rods, or 3 improved furnaces (respectively for speed, fuel efficiency, and fuel capacity upgrades).

Block of Charcoal

This block is crafted from 9 units of charcoal and is useful for compressing inventory and powering mechanisms for longer periods.

Solid-Fueled Generator

This generator is crafted from an improved furnace and two redstone torches. It converts any combustible substance (including lava buckets) into RF at 40RF/t. Burn time in the generator is half the normal value.

Graves

The graves feature has been moved to a separate mod "Tomb Many Graves".

Additional Information

The mod can also be used as a library to extend its functions in other mods. The furnace can be expanded with various characteristics.
