Litematica - Community Updated
Important Note: This mod requires the MaLiLib library mod, which must be installed separately.
What is Litematica?
Litematica is a powerful schematic tool for Minecraft that was originally developed for lightweight mod loaders. It retains all the features of the old Schematica mod (except for the automatic building function) and adds many new useful capabilities.
Key Features
Structure Visualization
The main function of the mod is displaying "holographic" versions of structures that show the exact block placement and help recreate buildings in-game. The system includes customizable highlighting that marks incorrectly placed, missing, or extra blocks.
Material List
The mod provides a convenient list of required building materials, including HUD display that helps track which resources have been collected and which still need to be gathered.
Schematic Verification
The verification feature allows scanning the entire schematic area and finding errors. This is particularly useful when working with technical and redstone builds where even small inaccuracies can disrupt the entire construction.
Creative Mode Tools
Additional tools are available for creative mode:
- Area filling
- Block replacement
- Structure deletion
- Schematic pasting mode (instant placement in single player, using /setblock commands in multiplayer)
Community Updates
The original developer has discontinued support for the mod, so it is now maintained by the community under the GNU LESSER GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3. The latest versions for Minecraft 1.21 are available through community repositories.
