Locator Bar Waypoints for Minecraft Java Edition

Feature Overview

This datapack provides a convenient system for managing waypoints directly in the Minecraft world. To create a marker, simply give an armor stand a specific name using an anvil or name tag.

You can set a waypoint in two ways:

• Naming the object waypoint - in this case a random color will be selected
• Using one of the color designations from the available palette

Available Color Range

Armor stands recognize names in lowercase:

• aqua
• black
• blue
• dark_aqua
• dark_gray
• dark_green
• dark_purple
• dark_red
• gold
• gray
• green
• light_purple
• red
• white
• yellow

Technical Specifications

All markers are visible from up to 10,000 blocks away, ensuring good landmark visibility. To change a marker's color, you can rename the corresponding armor stand at any time.
