Lost Metal Machinery: Mythril and Onyx Rise from the Ashes

Returning to Minecraft are those famous Mythril and Onyx furnaces that were once part of SimpleOres2 but were lost after one of the old updates. These machines completely retain their original functionality but are now available as a separate modification!

Additional Structures for Newer Versions

If you play Minecraft 1.14.4 or newer, you're in for a pleasant surprise: joining the classic furnaces are their more advanced versions - blast furnaces and smokers created from the same legendary metals!

Required for Operation

• SimpleOres — required addon for versions 1.14.4 and above
• SimpleCoreLib — needed in Minecraft 1.16.3 and newer
• SimpleCore API no longer needs to be installed for Minecraft 1.14.4-1.16.1

Advantages of Mythril Furnaces

The unique feature of Mythril machines is the "fuel economy" program. They increase the burn duration of any type of fuel! By default, the efficiency improvement is 2 times, but this setting can be changed in the mod configuration.

Just imagine: the same coal or wood that used to burn completely will now serve you twice as long in Mythril furnaces.

Mythril Blast Furnace

Added in Minecraft 1.14.4/1.15.2 — combines energy efficiency with accelerated smelting cycle, like a standard blast furnace.

Mythril Smoker

Launched in the same versions — demonstrates similar fuel savings while cooking food, which it does twice as fast as a regular smoker.

Mysterious Onyx and Its Supernatural Influence

Furnaces created from mysterious Onyx gemstones display another magical ability: the possibility to produce extra ingots when processing ore! The very first smelting could pleasantly surprise you with an extra material.

The chance to get an extra item is 33% by default, the quantity of produced resource is also configurable (standard creates 1 extra ingot).

Crafting is similar to Mythril mechanisms, but with onyx gems instead of mithril ingots.

Onyx Blast Furnace

Available in Minecraft 1.14.4/1.15.2 — preserves the gift of extra resources during accelerated processing of blocks, like a regular blast furnace.

Crafting corresponds to the creation ritual for the Mythril variant but with onyx stones instead of mithril ingots.

Onyx Smoker

Also added in newer versions — provides a random chance for extra food output and cooks twice as fast, which is characteristic for the industry.

Interestingly, its crafting differs: the central spaces now house the assembled working chamber masonry created from gems.

Our development team does not plan to stop at achieving the basis mod functionality. In the future, we might expect the addition of completely new types of devices.

We preserved that production magic that old fans of these mechanical assistants might remember, and we are happy to welcome back the long-awaited metals for the most sophisticated Minecraft masters!
