Embeddium/Rubidium Extras

Embeddium/Rubidium Extras is an extended feature set for Embeddium or Rubidium (Forge version of Sodium) that significantly enhances their capabilities. Includes numerous useful options from various mods, collected in one convenient add-on for maximum gaming comfort.

Magnesium/Rubidium Dynamic Lights is distributed as a separate mod to ensure compatibility without mandatory Magnesium installation.

Main Features

Performance Improvement - various issues with Sodium and the Forge platform itself have been fixed, reducing random lag spikes in modpacks and speeding up chunk updates.

Enhanced FPS Counter - more visually pleasing, with settings to display minimum frame time (useful for lag debugging) and average indicator over the last 15 seconds (for accurate benchmarking).

Zoom Key - port of the "Ok Zoomer" function from Fabric, assigned to the C key, allows easy viewing of distant objects.

Borderless Fullscreen Mode - replaces the standard Sodium fullscreen mode, simplifying window switching (disabled by default).

Realistic Darkness - settings for creating truly dark nights and caves with configuration or disable options.

Entity Culling - significantly improves performance in modpacks by excluding rendering of distant entities. Configurable Y parameter allows disabling mob display in caves when on the surface. Incompatible with Out Of Sight.

Smooth Chunk Loading - port of the "Fade In Chunks" function from Fabric, applies the Bedrock effect to reduce sudden appearance of new chunks during game loading, world switching, or flying.

Fog Disable - option to completely turn off fog, missing in standard Sodium.

Configurable Cloud Height - clouds are positioned too low by default, this mod raises them to a more realistic height.

Integration with Magnesium/Rubidium Dynamic Lights - ensures perfect compatibility and significantly improves MDL performance through optimizations.

Important Note: The Forge fix to speed up chunk updates in Magnesium/Rubidium is experimental and not 100% safe (removing "unnecessary" synchronized blocks on "immutable" HashMaps). Theoretically there should be no problems - the feature was tested in a 300-mod modpack without crashes, but the warning remains. Report unexpected crashes on the Github Issues page.
