MaLiLib Update Port
This is an updated version of the MaLiLib library mod designed for Minecraft client modifications. This project serves as a foundation for numerous dependent mods, providing them with a common set of functions and tools.
Main Purpose
MaLiLib is a library containing most of the common code used by various client mods. Key components include:
- Configuration system and settings serialization
- Powerful key binding system
- Code for creating screens and graphical interfaces
- Various utility classes and methods
The mod name stands for "masa's Litemod Library" - it was originally created for 1.12.x versions using LiteLoader.
Dependent Mods
MaLiLib is a mandatory requirement for the following client mods from developer masa (starting from the indicated versions):
- Item Scroller - version 0.14.0 and newer
- Litematica - all builds starting approximately from June 11, 2018
- MiniHUD - version 0.17.0 and newer
- TellMe - version 0.6.1 and newer
- Tweakeroo - version 0.8.0 and newer
There are also many other client mods from various authors built on MaLiLib. Usually, the description of such mods indicates what dependencies they require.
Version Compatibility
Important: Always download the correct mod version for your Minecraft version and mod loader from the "Versions" page!
Version Features
- The mod is available for both Fabric and Forge
- The file name always indicates the mod loader and Minecraft version in the format:
malilib-<mod loader>-<MC version>-<mod version>.jar - Example:
malilib-fabric-1.19.2-0.13.0.jar
Compatibility Recommendations
To avoid version conflicts, it's recommended to use the latest available versions of all dependent mods for a specific Minecraft version. Pay special attention when choosing versions:
- Versions 0.9.x and 0.10.x for MC 1.12.2, 1.14.x, 1.15.x, and 1.16.x may have compatibility issues
- Versions starting from MaLiLib 0.50.0 contain significant code changes
- It's critically important to use mods released around the same time
