More Axolotl Variants Mod - Additional Axolotl Varieties

This mod significantly expands the diversity of axolotls in vanilla Minecraft by adding numerous new color variations of these charming creatures. Each new axolotl has its own unique identifier in the NBT system, covering values from 5 to 14.

Compatibility and Requirements

The mod supports compatibility with Axolotl Bucket Fix version 1.1.1 and above (Fabric version only). Starting from version 1.2.0, installation of More Axolotl Variants API is required for the mod to function.

Acquisition Features

Most axolotls can be summoned using the command:

/summon minecraft:axolotl [pos] {Variant:"mavm:<variantname>"}

However, Skulk Axolotl and Glowxolotl are available exclusively through breeding existing axolotls!

Updates and Improvements

In version 1.0.8, all axolotl textures were completely updated to match modern Minecraft graphics standards.

Available Varieties

The mod adds the following types of axolotls: Lucia, Wilder, Golden, Green, Skulk, Dark, Red, Glowxolotl, White, Cyanide.

Special attention is given to Glowxolotl - the only axolotl for which the author created a completely original texture.
