MC Client Tweaks
Sometimes it feels like the standard Minecraft client is missing some useful features. This mod aims to correct this oversight.
MC Client Tweaks is a modification for Minecraft Fabric that operates exclusively on the client side. All its improvements should function correctly on any server. Fabric API installation is required for operation.
Each of the offered improvements can be enabled or disabled, as well as configured through the corresponding configuration screen. Access to it is achieved using the assigned key (default J) during gameplay or through the mod information page when using Modmenu.
Main Functions
Inventory Improvements
• In the survival inventory, the hand-switching key works similarly to the hotbar keys (relevant for version 1.15, in 1.16 this function is available by default) • Flipping through pages in the recipe book is done by scrolling the mouse wheel • The system notifies the player about a full inventory • Tracking low item durability with notification
Other Functions
• Ability to change audio output devices directly in the settings menu without restarting the game • Adjusting lava fog density for better visibility under its surface (only for version 1.15, in 1.16 fire resistance already improves vision under lava)
Notification Management
Notifications (toasts) are small cards that appear in the upper right corner of the screen in certain situations, such as when unlocking new recipes. Using the mod, you can disable specific types of these notifications.
Bug Fixes
The mod fixes the standard error MC-200083: opening files caused the game to hang until the file viewer was closed in Linux (for example, when opening screenshots, resource pack folder, etc.).
Compatibility
MC Client Tweaks is compatible with most modifications. Issues with compatibility can be reported in the appropriate section. Lava fog adjustment may not work with some versions of Optifine/Optifabric but has been successfully tested with Optifine 15.2 HD U G1 pre13 and Optifabric 1.0.0-beta8.
