MEGA Cells
MEGA Cells is an add-on for the Applied Energistics 2 modification, offering enhanced data storage tiers. This addon provides cells with expanded capacity ranging from 1 million to 256 million units, continuing the tradition of well-known extensions like Extra Cells 2 and its successors.
Mod Features
Unlike standard add-ons, MEGA Cells offers a unique approach with its own progression system and components that challenge experienced AE2 players. The mod features stylish visual design with predominant deep black tones.

- Enhanced storage cells for items and fluids with capacity from 1M to 256M (standard and portable versions)
- Powerful MEGA crafting processors with unique black components: 1M-256M storage, 4-threaded coprocessors and matching monitors
- Integration with other AE2 addons including Applied Mekanistics (1-256M chemical cells) and Applied Botanics (1-256M mana cells)
- MEGA bulk storage cells for unlimited storage of a single item type
- Compression system with automatic conversion between ingots, nuggets and blocks for bulk storage, supporting auto-crafting via decompression module
- Improved MEGA pattern provider with doubled capacity for processing recipes
- Superdense energy cell and enhanced energy card for increased energy storage in AE networks and portable devices
Developers continue working on adding new features and improvements.
Licensing
Source code is distributed under LGPLv3 license, which corresponds to Applied Energistics 2 license, with some code elements used from AE2 itself. Graphical resources are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0, also in accordance with AE2 license, with most assets based on original AE2 resources. Some graphical materials are provided by Sea_Kerman.
