Merchant Markers
Have you ever forgotten what different villager professions look like? Would you like to quickly find specific merchants in your village?
The Merchant Markers mod solves these problems, making villager search extremely simple and convenient.

This mod adds special markers above villagers that highlight them and simplify searching. Various appearance settings are available, and the mod is designed with modpack usage in mind. Fully supports villagers from other mods, as well as integration with Xaero minimap, FTB Chunks, and JourneyMap for a more cohesive gaming experience!
Requirements
The mod requires Iceberg to work. The Fabric version also needs Forge Config API Port.
Client-side
The mod works entirely on the client side.
Settings
The configuration file offers many options for personalizing marker display. You can configure marker visibility through walls, display of an arrow under markers, and the maximum distance from which markers are visible. Four icon types are also available:
- Custom - unique hand-drawn icons for each profession (for modded professions can be added via resource packs)
- Items - uses item icons associated with the profession (e.g., iron chestplate for armorers)
- Jobs - displays the texture of the profession's work block (automatically supports modded professions)
- Generic - one universal "merchant" icon for all professions (can be changed via resource packs)
There is also a profession blacklist (by default excludes "none" and "nitwit" so markers only show for trading villagers). Five overlay options are available - a small icon in the lower right corner of the marker: backpack, emerald, coin stack, bag, or no overlay.
Compatibility
The mod fully supports villager professions from other mods, including custom icons via resource packs. Also integrates with Xaero's Minimap, FTB Chunks, and JourneyMap, replacing standard villager head icons with profession markers.
Allowed for use in modpacks.
