The Middle Torch

Convenient Torch Placement with a Single Click

This mod introduces a special key for instant torch placement in the game. You can assign any convenient button in the control settings — for example, the middle mouse button. The mod works exclusively on the client side, so it doesn't need to be installed on the server.

Important Condition

Torches must be on your hotbar for the function to work.

Supported Versions and Torch Types

For Minecraft 1.7.10–1.12.2:

• Standard torches from vanilla game
• Modified torches that extend the basic ones
• Stone Torches from Tinkers' Construct
• Torch Bandolier from Silent's Gems (version 0.2)
• Torches from Carpenter's Blocks (version 0.3)
• Torches from TerrFirmaCraft (version 0.3)
• Mounted Torch from Gravity Torch (version 0.9)

For Minecraft 1.13.2 and newer:

• Standard vanilla torches
• Modified torches that extend the basic ones
• Torches from the tag "forge:torches" (before 1.21) / "c:torches" (1.21 and later)
• Torch-like items from the tag "forge:torchplacers" (before 1.21) / "c:torchplacers" (1.21 and later)

Extending Functionality

You can add support for new torches or similar items through a data pack or by asking the authors of relevant mods to make the necessary changes.
