Minecraft Access
Minecraft Access is a specialized addon for Minecraft designed to assist players with visual impairments. This mod combines and replaces a series of previous accessibility solutions.
The core functionality involves using a screen reader to vocalize the game interface, as well as employing sound cues to help navigate the three-dimensional game space. Currently, the mod provides sufficient capabilities for full gameplay.
Supported Versions:
- Game versions: 1.19.3, 1.20.1, 1.20.4, 1.20.6, 1.21.1, 1.21.4
- Mod loaders: Fabric and NeoForge
- Operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux
Development Process: After code updates or addition of new features, test builds are first published on the Playability Discord server for verification. After gathering feedback and resolving critical issues, stable versions are released on major mod distribution platforms.
