MineTunes — Music Player for Minecraft

MineTunes is a modification created in two days for entertainment purposes, which adds a fully functional MP3 player to the game. The mod allows playing .mp3 audio files and loading playlists from folders or .m3u files.

Controls

All control functions can be reassigned in settings:

• Home: open player menu
• End: play/pause current track
• Page Up: increase volume (when holding Ctrl — next track)
• Page Down: decrease volume (when holding Ctrl — previous track)

Usage

Playlist creation is done by selecting a name and activating the corresponding button in the corner of the interface. The system supports loading playlists from .m3u files with automatic search for all available MP3 files, as well as scanning folders and subfolders to add music compositions. Streaming functions and extended .m3u capabilities are currently not supported.

After selecting a playlist, double-clicking the track name starts playback. In the upper part of the interface, settings are available for HUD positioning, its disabling, and playback mode selection:

• Track (single track)
• Repeat (track repetition)
• Loop (playlist looping)
• Shuffle (random order)

For advanced users, developer mode is available, activated by the Shift + Ctrl combination. It allows resetting the playback thread if problems occur.

Important: the playlist selection window opens in a separate window. If the game freezes when pressing the "Select Playlist" button, try switching between windows — it might be behind the main game window.

MineTunes uses JLayer and mp3agic libraries for working with audio files. The mod was tested briefly — report any discovered issues.
