Minimega
Minimega is a modification that revives the mini-games from the outdated console versions of Minecraft that are no longer supported by developers.
Available Mini-Games
Currently, the mod offers several game modes with varying degrees of readiness:
- Lobby (ID: 99) — playable, but some entities are missing
- Battle — under development
- Tumble — planned for addition
- Glide (ID: 3) — playable
- Fistfight (ID: 70) — fully ready to play, accepts community suggestions
*Some features may differ from the original implementation
Compatibility with Other Mods
Minimega works well together with other popular modifications, including Iris and Legacy4J version 1.8.2. It's important to note that compatibility with Legacy4J is guaranteed only for the specified version.
How to Start Playing
To access the mini-games, go to the multiplayer menu and click the "Mini Games" button. If you have the Legacy4J mod installed, you can open the mini-games panel directly from the main game screen.
Multiplayer Mode
The mod supports cooperative play with other players! You can create matches for groups of up to 16 people. When creating a game, simply check the "Online Game" and "Public Game" checkboxes to invite friends.
For computers with weaker specifications, it's recommended to limit to 4-8 players for comfortable gameplay.
Alternative Projects
If you're looking for other ways to enjoy mini-games from console versions, check out the Legacy Edition Minigames project, which also ports this content to Java Edition while maintaining compatibility with vanilla clients.
