About the Modification
This modification represents an enhanced version of the original Misty World by liahim85, focused on expanded configuration settings and bug fixes. The project is distributed under the Artistic License 2.0, allowing free modification and distribution of the source code.
Main Features
Advanced Settings
The modification offers numerous additional configuration parameters, including:
- Setting initial portal spawn in more dangerous biomes
- Replacing pollution and intoxication effects with specified potions
- Ability to specify a list of helmets that can filter mist (with or without taking damage)
- Choosing a potion that provides complete mist filtration
- Disabling acid rain damage
- Defining mobs (or entire modifications) that should be immune to mist damage
- Disabling urn opening in inventory
- Forcing urns and jars to always drop their contents when mined
- Customizing the central portal block
- Preventing respawning back into the Misty World
- Disabling mask and skill menu hotkeys
- Disabling the respirator button/tab in inventory
- Changing the position of the respirator slot on the quick access panel
Technical Improvements
Fixed a critical crash and improved urn functionality. Updated internal components and build system.
Known Issues
- Snow in the mist world falls vertically instead of diagonally
- Acid rain droplets are blue instead of green
- When urn opening in inventory is disabled, they must be placed using Shift+RMB
- 'Border-Up' portals can sometimes generate underground
Future Plans
- Improving commands for pollution and intoxication
- Reducing noise level when breaking mist trees
- Fixing missing WAILA textures on foggy sponge
- Adding configuration for each mist mob's spawn weight
Compatibility and Support
The modification has been tested in a pack with approximately 300 other mods and demonstrated stable performance. If unexpected behavior or compatibility issues occur, it's recommended to report them through the bug tracking system.
