MobTotems - Totemic Magic System

This project is being developed as a learning process for mod creation, so all elements may change in the future.

New Totem System - Version 0.3.0

The totem system has been completely redesigned with the addition of 10 new modular components. Craft a carving knife and right-click in the air to open the pattern selection menu. Choose the desired totem design, then right-click on a totem wood block to carve it.

Craft an offering box and place it at the base of the totem to complete it. The Sacred Light block, when placed on top of a completed totem, can provide it with free Charge. The Sacred Light recipe has become configurable.

Charge Magic System

A new magic system called "Charge" has been introduced. With Baubles mod installed, you can use the Personal Wolf Totem amulet to summon a spirit wolf that will fight by your side. Activate equipped MobTotems accessories by pressing the 'h' key by default.

To summon the spirit wolf, your accessory needs energy. This is where the new Incense Kindling Box comes into play. If you stand near a placed Incense Kindling Box, your equipped MobTotems accessories will fill with energy. The Incense Kindling Box will burn up and disappear after a short time, so use them sparingly.

Creating Totems

For creating totems, you'll need to craft a totemic focus:

With the totemic focus in hand, right-click on logs to carve them into totem wood blocks.

Then create the Sacred Light block. This block prevents mobs from spawning within 32 blocks of it. You can extend its range by placing it on top of stacked totem wood blocks. Each totem wood block increases the range by 16 blocks up to a maximum of 64.
