Modern Beta Forge Islands
Island Generation Add-on for Modern Beta Forge 1.12.2!
This is an extension for Modern Beta Forge version 1.12.2 (requires version 1.8.0.0 or newer) that adds island generation capability for Beta, Alpha, Infdev 20100611, and Pocket Edition terrain generators. Compared to the original Fabric version of Modern Beta, this implementation features an improved generation system.
Ready-to-Use World Presets
In the Modern Beta world customization menu, several preset configurations are available for quick start:
- Xbox Legacy — inspired by early updates of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
- Survival Island — survival on a small island
- Waterworld — start on a small island and venture into sea voyages for resources
How to Use
For quick start, configure the Modern Beta world type, go to the "Presets" section, and select one of the available options. You can also manually configure various parameters in the "Add-on" tab, including island size and shape, smoothness of transition from land to ocean, and other characteristics.
Server Configuration
For proper operation on a server, the following settings must be configured in the server.properties file:
- Set the 'levelType' field to 'modernbeta' (without quotes)
- Configure generation parameters in the 'generator-settings' field. The generator settings string can be created using the in-game interface
