Modern Beta Forge Release Plus is an extension for Modern Beta Forge version 1.12.2 that brings back the biome generation systems from iconic Minecraft versions. Relive the atmosphere of Beta 1.8.1, Release 1.0, Release 1.1, and Release 1.6.4 periods while maintaining all the benefits of modern gameplay.
About Classic Recreation
Important note: while biomes match their original counterparts, they've been adapted for version 1.12.2 using contemporary height variation values and surface generation parameters. This means terrain shape will differ from the original versions, creating a unique gaming experience that combines classic atmosphere with modern stability.
Easy World Generation Setup
To begin your journey to the past:
- Select Modern Beta world type
- Navigate to the "Presets" section
- Choose your preferred option: Modern Beta 1.8.1, Modern Release 1.0, Modern Release 1.1, or Modern Release 1.6.4
After selecting your foundation, you can fine-tune all available parameters from the base Modern Beta mod, along with special Modern Beta Forge Release Plus options located on the last tab of the customization screen.
Server Setup
For proper server functionality, enable the following settings in the server.properties file:
- Set the 'levelType' field to 'modernbeta' (without quotes)
- Configure generation parameters in the 'generator-settings' field using the convenient in-game graphical interface
