About the Mod
More Mystcraft is a collection of various additions for the popular Mystcraft mod. The current version 0.8.5 is compatible with Mystcraft 0.13.7.03 and Forge 14.23.5.2803. It's important to note that it will not work with earlier versions.
Main Features
Structures
The mod adds an overworld structure called the "Abandoned Study," designed to help players who haven't started traveling to Ages yet. These studies can also appear in Ages when using the corresponding Pages. In the settings, you can disable the Book Binder recipe, making these Studies the only source of Descriptive Books.
The mod also enhances the appearance of standard libraries and provides an option to completely disable their generation. If the enhancement is enabled, there's a 10% chance that a regular library will become a larger Great Library.
Pages
The mod expands Age creation capabilities with the following page types:
- Pyramids: Terrain features similar to Spheres and Spikes that accept blocks as modifiers
- Ocean monuments: Allows ocean monuments to generate in your Ages
- Size pages: Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, and Huge
- Tilt pages: No Tilt (0°), Half Tilt (45°), and Full Tilt (90°)
- Tinted sun: Changes the sun's color and allows setting its size and tilt for unique Ages
- Rings biome distribution: New distribution type where biomes change as you move away from the map center
- Normal biome distribution: Replaces the five "sized" distributions from original Mystcraft and is compatible with Size pages
- Band distribution: Infinite biome bands in east-west and north-south directions
- Boxes biome distribution: Similar to ring distribution but with right angles
- Island biome distribution: Places one biome in the center of an infinite ocean
- Gigantic trees: Improved version of Huge Trees with thicker trunks and lower generation frequency
- Cloud height: Allows controlling cloud height in Ages
- Lacking ores: Disables ore generation in the ground (ores in structures remain)
Blocks
- Traffic cone: Marks approved exploration areas
- Unstable book receptacle: Creates a new Age each time the portal is used with a Descriptive Book. With a Linking Book, teleports to random coordinates in the target Age
Items
- Maintainer suit: Fully protective suit for visiting dangerous Ages. Restricts vision and movement but provides complete protection from all threats and shows potion effects from Age instability
