More Villager Professions

Have you ever wanted to expand the selection of villager professions? Perhaps tried politely asking a trader to offer items you need? The More Professions mod truly adds new villager professions and opens completely new possibilities in Minecraft's trading system.

This modification was created because the author couldn't find anything similar. Most existing solutions simply added random villagers with fixed trades in villages. However, what was wanted was a full system with progression levels, random exchanges, and a genuine vanilla gameplay experience.

The mod's content perfectly blends with the original game style, allowing it to be used in any game mode - from classic survival to non-standard maps like Skyblock.

What the Modification Offers

New Professions

The mod introduces over 350 randomly generated trades among all added professions:

  • Redstoner (Redstone Block)
  • Lumber Jack (Wooden Axe)
  • Miner (Wooden Pickaxe)
  • Hunter (Wooden Sword)
  • Beekeeper (Honeycomb)
  • Explorer (Compass)

How the Trading System Works

The principle is absolutely identical to Minecraft's original mechanics. At each villager development level, 2 random trades from the corresponding offer pool become available. In the current version, each level contains up to 6 possible trade variants, with a total of 5 levels, providing 30 base offers for one profession.

Rerolling updates only the current level's available offers and becomes impossible after trading begins, just like in the original game.

Material Variety

No, you're not limited to one resource type. If an item has variants, there's a high probability that random types will appear in trades. This applies not only to the lumber jack profession but also to the beekeeper's flowers, and various button, pressure plate, and sculk sensor options for the redstoner.

How to Start Using

To persuade a villager to learn a specialty, place a fletching table and put an item frame on it with the item that determines the desired profession. For example, to get a redstoner, place a redstone block in the frame on the fletching table.

Redstoner

To update available offers, simply replace the item in the frame. Convenient and intuitive!
