More Shearables

More Shearables is a fun mod that allows you to shear various creatures in Minecraft, obtaining valuable resources from them. The mod adds a special tool - a shaver, and several new materials for creating unique armor sets.

How to Get Started

To use the mod, you'll need a special shaver that can be crafted from two gold ingots and regular shears.

After creating the tool, simply right-click on a suitable creature to remove its skin and get various items.

Shearing process

Features and Mechanics

Don't worry about the animals' well-being - after shearing, they gradually restore their covering. Regular animals eat grass to regrow their fur, while polar bears need to be in water since they eat fish. However, be careful: if you shear a tamed animal, it may become wild again.

Different creatures provide various materials when sheared:

Chicken - Feathers
Pig - Pig Skin
Cow - Leather
Rabbit - Rabbit Hide (version 1.9+)
Zombie Pigman - Rotten Flesh (version 1.9+)
Creeper - ? (version 1.9+)
Polar Bear - Polar Bear Hide (version 1.10+)
Llama - Wool (color depends on variant, version 1.12.2+) / Leather (version 1.12)
Parrot - Feathers (version 1.12+)

Various resources

Warnings

Special caution should be taken with zombie pigmen - they become extremely aggressive if sheared. In the configuration file, you can disable the ability to shear certain creatures.

New Materials and Armor

The mod adds two new materials: pig skin (from pigs) and polar bear hide (from polar bears). These materials can be used to create leather or two unique armor sets.

A full pig skin armor set makes regular pigs panic and run away from the player, but zombie pigmen become angry. A full polar bear hide armor set makes polar bears aggressive towards the player.
