[LEGACY] More Stones II

About the Modification

The [LEGACY] More Stones II mod significantly expands the variety of stone types in Minecraft. All added stone types generate naturally in the world. Each stone type has numerous processing variants, including bricks, cracked bricks, tiles, polished blocks, stairs, slabs, walls, as well as special decorative elements like chiseled bricks and pillars. All these variants can be crafted in survival mode using standard crafting recipes similar to vanilla stone blocks. For convenience, stone cutter recipes are also included.

Generation Features

New stone types appear in the world as veins and clusters similar to granite, diorite, and andesite generation. However, to maintain balance and add realism, all stones from this mod generate only in specific biomes. To find out where you can locate a particular stone type, pay attention to the biomes indicated in parentheses next to the stone name.

New Stone Types

• Limestone - soft greenish stone found in high ocean areas and stony peaks
• Slate - blue stone material generated deep underground in grassy and forest biomes
• Norite - smooth beige stone located in dripstone caves
• Travertine - crunchy white stone positioned high in jungles
• Laterite - orange sedimentary stone found in savannas and badlands
• Kimberlite - dark blue stone type generated under deep oceans
• Sovite - coarse multicolored stone found in meadows
• Verglas - icy stone encountered on frozen peaks and high in ice spike biomes
• Soul Stone - smooth dark brown stone generated near lava in soul sand valleys or created by smelting soul soil
• Olivine Tuff - tuff variant located on stony and jagged peaks

Additional Features

The mod includes two music discs with compositions by GlitchyMC: "Stones" and "The Underground". Soul Stone has special properties - it can be used as a base for soul fire, a block for Soul Speed enchantment, and a base for Wither summoning.

Development History

This mod is a reworked version of the original More Stones created three years ago. Instead of fixing numerous errors in the old version, the author decided to completely redesign the modification, adding new features and stone types while improving compatibility with other mods.
