Mortar (and Pastels)
This mod is a fairly lightweight building addition designed to fill the gaps in Minecraft's standard block set.
New Color Variants
Version 1.21.5 only!
To complete the missing color shades in the vanilla palette, Mortar adds 8 new dye colors, increasing the total number of available colors to 24.

From left to right, the new colors include the following shades:
- Maroon
- Scarlet
- Amber
- Pear
- Pine
- Slate
- Lavender
- Salmon
Only one of these colors can truly be called pastel, but the name Mortar and Pastels was too good to pass up)
All these dyes have the same blocks and items as standard colors: concrete, terracotta, banners, bundles, and much more!
Careful work has been done to integrate the new dyes into the game at the same level as vanilla colors, without adding an excessive number of related elements. Various recipes have been added or modified to include the new colors, and dyed blocks can be found in standard structures and biomes.
Alternative Stone Block Sets
Alternative stone types have received the same treatment as tuff in terms of variants. Andesite, calcite, diorite, and granite now have brick sets. Calcite also received a new polished set.

Stairs, Slabs, and Walls
Several missing stair, slab, and wall variants for existing blocks have been added. This includes smooth stone stairs, quartz brick variants, and other blocks where there was precedent for their existence.

Chiseled Bricks
Brick blocks that lacked chiseled variants now have them. This includes prismarine, red nether, and end stone bricks.
