Mouse Tweaks
Enhanced Mouse Control in Minecraft
The Mouse Tweaks mod fundamentally changes inventory management by offering advanced item control features using the mouse. It replaces the standard right-click dragging mechanic and adds new functions for the left button and scroll wheel.
Installation and Compatibility
Installation requires a compatible mod loader:
- Versions 1.16.5 and newer: Minecraft Forge or Fabric
- Versions 1.14.4 and newer: Minecraft Forge
- Versions 1.12.2 and older: Minecraft Forge or LiteLoader
Simply place the Mouse Tweaks file in the mods folder of your .minecraft directory. Importantly, this mod works exclusively on the client side and doesn't require a server component.
Configuration file location: .minecraft/config/MouseTweaks.cfg
Main Features
Right Mouse Button Enhancement
An improved version of standard dragging with one key difference: when dragging over a slot multiple times, items will be placed there multiple times. Activated by setting RMBTweak=1.
Hold the right mouse button:
Move the cursor around the crafting grid:
You can drag over existing items:
Left Mouse Button Enhancement (with item)
Allows quick pickup or movement of items of the same type. Setting: LMBTweakWithItem=1.
Hold the left mouse button to pick up an item:
Drag the cursor across the inventory - identical items will be automatically picked up:
Hold Shift while dragging for quick item movement:
Left Mouse Button Enhancement (without item)
Quick movement of items between inventories. Setting: LMBTweakWithoutItem=1.
Hold Shift, then the left mouse button:

Move the cursor - items will be quickly transferred:

Scroll Wheel Enhancement
Use the scroll wheel for quick item transfer between inventories. Scrolling down moves items one by one, scrolling up adds items from another inventory.
Main settings:

Compatibility
Mouse Tweaks is compatible with all interfaces based on GuiContainer, provided their behavior hasn't been significantly altered. For non-standard interfaces, API documentation is available to improve compatibility.
The mod can be freely included in modpacks.
