Nanex's Better Vanilla Biomes

This modification significantly enriches the standard Minecraft biomes by adding numerous new natural elements and details. It transforms familiar landscapes into more lively and atmospheric locations.

Key mod features

Leaf Litter

In forest biomes (regular forest, birch forest, and dark oak forest), you can now find fallen leaves. Shears are required for collection. The collected material can be used to create leaf blocks or as fuel for the furnace.

Firefly Bushes

Unique plants emitting soft light make nighttime walks safer and more atmospheric. Found near rivers, in swamps, and jungles.

Algae

Diversify the underwater world of rivers. Collected algae can be smelted in a furnace to obtain lime dye.

Reed Plants

New aquatic plants in rivers and swamps that produce green dye when smelted.

Dry Grass

Appears throughout desert biomes. Excellent as fast-burning fuel for furnaces.

Tiny Cacti

Small versions of desert cacti found in deserts and mesa biomes. Some of them bloom with beautiful pink flowers and can be converted into green dye.

Flowering Cacti

Now some cacti are adorned with delicate pink flowers. Flowers can be collected to create pink dye or smelted into standard cactus green dye.

New Flowers

The mod adds several new types of flowers that can be turned into corresponding dyes and multiplied using bone meal:

• Red Dandelion
• Blue Dandelion
• White Dandelion
• Rose

Important: This modification is developed exclusively for Minecraft version 1.12 and will not be updated for newer game versions.
