NBC Heroes - Minecraft Mod
This addon, inspired by the television series of the same name, provides players with the means to obtain unique superhuman abilities. The mod is compatible with both Forge and Fabric through the Palladium platform.
Important Technical Features
For proper operation, it's recommended to set graphics to "fast" to avoid black screen issues when overloading concentration. The Trinkets mod is required to equip the katana sheath.
Methods of Obtaining Abilities
There are two main ways to acquire superpowers:

Natural Manifestation - When first joining a world, there's a 40% chance to gain potential for a random ability that activates during the next new moon (you'll receive a chat notification).

Artificial Acquisition - Using a special substance called "The Formula". There are two variants: catalyzed (stable) and uncatalyzed (causes side effects).
With natural ability manifestation, you also earn the [Superior Being] achievement.
Ability System
The mod offers various superpowers including:
- Kitsune Mimicry
- Space-Time Manipulation
- Rapid Cellular Regeneration
- Empathic Mimicry
- Super Speed
- Pyrokinesis
- Flight
- Geokinetic Armor
- And many others
Genetic Stability
Each ability affects your genetic stability. Falling below 60% triggers negative effects: loss of concentration, health, speed, and strength. At 0% stability, you become completely helpless.
Lunar Cycles
Every 7 days during the new moon, abilities are temporarily disabled, making players vulnerable. This recreates the mechanics from the original series.
Resources and Interface
The top left corner displays the ability management interface:
- Suppression indicator
- Stamina bar
- Concentration points
Stamina is trained by using abilities, while concentration develops through mental strain.
Crafting and Usage
Special crafting recipes are used to create the formula and catalyst. For injection, place the vial in your offhand and injector in your main hand, then hold Shift and right-click.
Administration Commands
The /Heroes command allows managing player abilities. Format: /Heroes [Player] [Power] [1/0] (1 - give, 0 - remove).
The mod continues active development with plans for new abilities and improvements.
