Nekoration: A Decoration Mod for Minecraft
Nekoration is a Forge mod for Minecraft that significantly expands decoration possibilities in the game. Players gain access to various decorative elements, allowing them to create more detailed and unique builds.
Origin of the Name
The name Nekoration is derived from the Japanese word "neko" (猫), meaning "cat," and the English "decoration." This reflects both the decorative focus of the mod and its friendliness towards cat-themed content.
Main Features
Block Coloring: Most blocks in Nekoration can be dyed using standard Minecraft dyes. This allows players to give decorative elements any desired shade from the available palette.
Automatic Model Connection: Many blocks, such as half-timber pillars and lamp posts, automatically adapt to adjacent blocks when placed. The system works without the need for additional texture-connecting mods.
Painting Creation: The mod includes a painting function that allows players to create their own artworks. Using a special palette, they can select colors and apply them to a canvas, realizing creative ideas.
Wallpaper from Banners: Any banner can be converted into wallpaper with an identical pattern, similar to creating shields from banners. Wallpaper is placed on walls, and multiple elements can fit into a 1×1×1 space, which is convenient for decorating room corners.
Neko Brochure Guide: When the mod is installed along with Patchouli, a red brochure appears in the "Neko Tools" section. It provides detailed information on crafting recipes and mechanics of working with the mod. The guide continues to be updated as the mod evolves.
Available Versions
The mod is compatible with Minecraft versions 1.16.5, 1.17.1, and 1.18.2, allowing it to be used in modern game setups.
