Nether Core - Transforming the Nether

Nether Core mod fundamentally changes the appearance of the Nether, turning it from a dangerous wasteland into an exciting place for exploration and base building.

Ores in the Nether

Now you can find standard ores from the regular world in the hellish dimension. Their quantity and generation frequency match classic Minecraft values.

Compressed Netherrack

Accumulated a huge amount of netherrack? Compress it up to 8 times! At the final stage, the compressed block can be smelted into a Nether Star. But be prepared - creating an 8x compressed block requires about 43 million units of netherrack.

Nether Stone for Construction

Love variety in building materials? Now you have multiple options for nether blocks - slabs, fences, stairs, bricks, and other decorative elements.

Nether Rod

Inspired by ender rods from version 1.9, this glowing item is crafted from a blaze rod and nether brick. It glows as brightly as glowstone.

Soul Glass

Obtained by smelting soul sand. This unique glass doesn't let light through, but upon close inspection, you can see the souls trapped inside.

Nether Spores and Growth

Created spores can be applied to netherrack in the Nether. They gradually spread to adjacent blocks and occasionally set surrounding objects on fire.

Nether growth prevents mob spawning - this is the first step towards terraforming the Nether into a habitable zone. However, be careful: growth has unknown side effects.

Nether Coal

New fuel that burns twice as long as regular coal. But it's not easy to obtain: nether coal ore forms when nether growth naturally spreads to coal ore in the Nether.

Nether Furnace

This unique furnace doesn't require fuel - it uses surrounding heat to smelt items.

Crafting Recipe:

• 8x Nether Cobblestone
• 1x Magma Cream

Each lava block (source or flow) on the sides of the furnace increases heat level by 1. When placed in the Nether, heat additionally increases by 1.

With one heat source, the furnace operates at 25% speed of a standard fuel furnace. At maximum heat (lava on all sides + Nether), speed reaches 125%.

In regular dimensions without heat sources, the furnace doesn't function.
