Nether Melting Ice

In Minecraft's Nether, all types of ice — regular, packed, and blue — melt regardless of light levels. However, melting ice does not produce water.

This mechanic is designed to limit the use of ice roads in the Nether while preserving the possibility of ice racing in the Overworld.
