This mod introduces significant changes to the usual mechanics of using portals to the Nether, completely transforming the approach to exploring this dangerous dimension.

Main conceptual change

It is now only possible to create a functioning portal to the Nether at the location of ruined portals, which generate randomly in the world. This limitation becomes the central element of the new gameplay.

The innovation is aimed at stimulating active exploration of the surrounding world. Players will need to thoroughly explore the territory in search of ruined portal structures, turning every game into a unique adventure with expanded exploration goals.

Configuration management

For those who prefer the classic portal creation mechanics, there is an option to completely disable the limitation through the modified game rule netherPortalOnlyInRuins.

Additional reward

Chests located near ruined portals now contain valuable resources with a 50% probability you can find netherite scrap in them - a rare and significant in-game item.
