Nitther Mob - Infernal Sheep for Nether Travel
Adds a unique mob to the game - an infernal sheep that will become your faithful companion in dangerous journeys through the Nether. This unusual pet will not only help with movement but also provide you with food!
Main Advantages
The infernal sheep appears exclusively in the Nether and possesses amazing abilities. It is completely unafraid of fire and lava - it can freely move across scorching surfaces thanks to its fiery spirit companion, which provides complete immunity to fire.
This mob has excellent mobility: it can climb up to 4 blocks high, and when riding it, you receive protection from fall damage and an additional jump boost.
The practical benefits are not limited to transportation - when killing the sheep, there's a chance to get cooked lamb, eliminating the need to cook food. For taming, simply hold magma cream in your hand, and the mob can also be leashed.
Features and Limitations
In the latest version, the mob no longer disappears when moving away from the player and has increased health: 4 hearts in normal state and 5 hearts when used as a means of transportation.
The chance of the infernal sheep appearing has been significantly increased, making encounters with it more likely. However, it's worth remembering some limitations: the mob cannot swim in water and may drown, and temporary FPS drops are possible due to frequent status updates while riding (although this issue has been partially resolved in the latest version).
Important warning: attempting to transition to the Overworld while riding the infernal sheep may cause game crashes or chunk corruption. It is recommended to avoid such transitions.
Technical Details
The mod was created using MCreator, which imposes certain limitations on update capabilities. Textures and sounds were completely reworked by the author, although the model is based on the standard sheep with some modifications.
Version 1.2 added new types of plants and items, as well as improved the mob's performance and balance.
