NoShades

Mod Overview

NoShades is a Minecraft mod for the Fabric platform that gives players the ability to adjust the intensity of shadows on the sides of blocks. This allows for personalization of the visual perception of the game world.

Configuration Settings

To configure the mod, you need to go to the main menu or pause menu, then select the "Mods → NoShades → Configure" section.

"Lightness" Parameter

• Adjusts the visibility of shadows on the side faces of blocks
• Negative values make shadows darker (minimum value -1 creates completely black sides)
• Positive values lighten shadows (maximum value +1 completely removes shadows)
• Zero value corresponds to standard Minecraft shadow display

Compatibility with Other Mods

Compatible Mods:

• Indigo - Fabric renderer
• Sodium - performance optimization mod

Incompatible Mods:

• Indium - shading function not yet implemented
• OptiFine + Optifabric - may cause loss of swamp tint in water

Additional Features

For convenient display of the mod in the Minecraft interface, it is recommended to install ModMenu.

Important Note

This mod is no longer supported by the developer and has been replaced by Simple No Shading. It should also be noted that NoShades is not a performance optimization mod.
