This modification is no longer a fork of Nutritional Balance. Instead, it uses Mixin technology for integration with the original Nutritional Balance mod. Make sure you have the main Nutritional Balance mod installed.

What This Mod Does

This is an unofficial improvement of the popular Nutritional Balance mod from developer @Danny_and_son. The main goal of the mod is performance optimization through the use of a local SQLite database to cache information about food item nutrients.

Thanks to pre-loading all data when Minecraft starts up, the process of connecting to servers and starting single player games is significantly accelerated. Automatic detection and caching of new food products occurs when they appear in the item registry.

Optimal Application

This mod is particularly useful for mod packs with a large number of diverse food items. Loading data from the local SQL database works significantly faster than generating and analyzing the entire item registry during gameplay. For standard situations, using the original version of the mod is recommended.

Modification Details

Nutritional Balance is a mod for the Forge platform that expands the nutrition system, encouraging players to maintain a balanced diet. Consuming various nutrients in the right proportions strengthens the character and increases their speed. Neglecting nutritional balance, on the contrary, slows down the hero and reduces their combat effectiveness.

Working with Settings

The modification offers a flexible configuration system through data packs and settings files. For proper operation, only the marking of raw ingredients is required, since the system automatically tracks nutrients in cooked dishes by analyzing crafting components.
