Discover an Ancient Language

This mod enables you to create and use blocks and items for writing sentences in Ochetgenyo - a forgotten language that existed in the distant past.

Getting Started

To begin, craft Glyph Base blocks, which will serve as the foundation for applying the writing system. You can create individual blocks using a stonecutter or craft a Glyph Chisel to quickly switch between all available symbols!

Additional Features

Glyph blocks support a wide range of appearance customization. You can apply any dyes to change colors - each offers a unique color palette! Use a glow ink sac to make your inscriptions illuminate in the dark.

Control features: hold Shift and right-click on a vowel glyph with the Glyph Chisel to rotate it left or right. When placing new glyphs below existing ones, they automatically copy the color and glow effect from the upper blocks - this rule also applies to glyphs created with the Chisel.

To view the complete vertical sentence, hold Shift and right-click on a glyph block with an empty hand - the text will display in chat.

About the Ochetgenyo Language

Ochetgenyo represents an artificial language (conlang) with minimally defined content. Although basic words and grammatical rules exist, you can freely experiment and create your own interpretations!
