OP Permission Fallback (Fabric)

This mod requires the library mods Collective (Fabric) and Fabric API.

This mod serves as a bridge between modifications that use the standard .hasPermission() function in their code without permission system support, and servers with configured permission systems.

When a player is assigned the "minecraft.op" permission (this value can be changed in settings), they gain the ability to execute all commands available to operators via /op. This also applies to cheat access functions.

Currently, the mod is compatible with permission systems using fabric-permissions-api, such as LuckPerms. Compatibility can be expanded in the future - you can submit a request to support your specific permission provider through the issue system on GitHub.

Why is this mod needed?

Imagine this situation: you've created a complex permission system on your server and don't use Minecraft's standard /op function. Then you add a new mod that doesn't support permission systems. With OP Permission Fallback, you can add the "minecraft.op" permission to your administrators, allowing them to use all commands from mods that only check for operator status or cheat access.

Mod developers can also reference this mod to avoid having to implement permission system support themselves.

Configuration

defaultOpPermissionString (default = "minecraft.op"): The permission string that makes players equivalent to /op operators in the game. By default, 'minecraft.op' is used.
