What this mod does

This mod provides a simple and secure method for proxy servers to authenticate with online mode servers. This works by redirecting the authentication request to the client, which handles the verification process independently.

Important: when using this mod, your session data and private keys are NEVER sent to the server. All operations are performed client-side and only with your consent.

Projects where this mod can be used

• ViaProxy: ViaProxy allows players to connect to any classic, alpha, beta, and release servers. To test it, connect to viaproxy.raphimc.net with a Minecraft client version 1.8 or newer. OpenAuthMod enables joining online mode servers through this proxy.
• VIAaaS: VIAaaS is a standalone proxy server based on ViaVersion.
