Ability to Use OptiFine with Fabric

The OptiLegacy modification allows running the official OptiFine on the Fabric mod loader for Minecraft version 1.8.9. The solution works by adapting the original OptiFine for compatibility with Fabric directly during game launch.

Important information: OptiFine itself is not included in this project—you must download it separately from the official website. Additionally, the development is not officially related to either the Fabric team or the creators of OptiFine.

Installation Process

First, install the latest version of Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.8.9. After that, place the OptiLegacy file, as well as the OptiFine JAR downloaded from the official website, into the mods folder. Make sure you are using the latest version of Fabric Loader.
