Description

This modification completely changes the way dropped items disappear in Minecraft. Their despawn timer now counts down continuously, regardless of whether the items are in loaded or unloaded chunks, as well as in any world dimensions.

An additional key feature is the ability to set a custom despawn timer duration. A special command is available for configuration:

/scoreboard players set despawn_duration oszu_idl_time XXX

Replace the "XXX" parameter with the desired value in ticks, where 1 second = 20 ticks.

It's worth noting that the standard duration for item despawning in Minecraft is 5 minutes: that's 300 seconds or 6000 ticks.

For reference: 1 minute = 1200 ticks

This is a server-side mod: installation is required for both singleplayer worlds and the server host side.
