Welcome to Patchouli Books!
This is an add-on for the Patchouli modification, which adds various books for different mods, striving to document their content as comprehensively as possible. Additionally, the developer plans to implement several quality-of-life improvements for players.
This version of the mod is created exclusively for Minecraft 1.12.2, as the developer currently has no intention to work with more recent versions of the game. If you wish to review the challenges the developer encountered during the project work, you can explore the project notes.

Already Implemented Features:
- HEI/JEI Integration: you can now call up JEI for any item displayed in a book using the same key binding as in the main JEI interface
- Enhanced JEI Integration: related books now appear side-by-side with recipes
- Backported Pamphlets from the Patchouli 1.18 variant (requires enabling in configuration)
- Backported PatchouliButton with expanded functionality
- New Page Types: overhauled versions of existing pages and a new layout for PedestalCrafting/ExtendedCrafting
- Within the mod itself, there is also a dedicated guidebook explaining all key capabilities
- Documentation for various mods with conditionally loaded books loading only when prerequisite mods are present

Future Development Opportunities:
- Backport PatchouliQuests functionalities
- Integration of inventory scanning for direct entry opening, a concept also employed by Botania in its functionality
- Development of additional page types (e.g., pages for Boss Info)

Documentation Coverage for Specific Mods:
This list might not seem extensive, especially lacking documentation for major popular modifications. Initial development started from a set of guide books the developer designed for a private modpack project, forming a solid groundwork. The growth of packaged documentation is definitely slated for the future.
No graphics used were created by the developer—all visual elements originate in Patchouli itself or open-source repositories. For information on art origins and accompanying licenses, refer to the source attribution file.
