Pepsi's More Professions Mod
Ever dreamed of more villager profession variety? Wanted to persuade a rural trader to sell exactly what you need? With the More Professions mod, you'll get truly diverse professions and unlock completely new trading possibilities with villagers. The mod is crafted in vanilla game style, making it suitable for any gameplay mode, including Skyblock.
What the mod offers
This mod adds over 350 new randomly generated trades across all additional professions.
New Professions
- Redstoner (Redstone Block)
- Lumber Jack (Wooden Axe)
- Miner (Wooden Pickaxe)
- Hunter (Wooden Sword)
- Beekeeper (Honeycomb)
- Explorer (Compass)
How the trading system works
Trading works exactly like in original Minecraft. At each trading level, you get 2 random trades from the pool corresponding to that level. In More Professions, each level/pool contains a maximum of 6 trades, with 5 total levels/pools available, providing 30 base trades.
This means that to obtain specific items, you'll need to level up your villager. Trade refreshing only works for the current level and is impossible after trading has begun - just like in vanilla gameplay.
What about trade variety?
It's not necessary that the Lumber Jack will only trade one type of wood. If an item in the trade has variants, there's a high probability of random selection. This applies not only to the Lumber Jack - for example, the Beekeeper might offer different flowers, while the Redstoner could provide various button types, pressure plates, and sculk sensors.
How to create professions
To "persuade" a villager to learn an additional profession, simply place a fletching table with an item frame attached on top, then place the item determining the profession inside. For example, to create a Redstoner, place a redstone block in the frame on the fletching table.
You can refresh trades by breaking and replacing the item in the frame. Very convenient!
