Automate Harvesting with "Pepsi's Potted Farms"
Are you tired of the tedious necessity to manually chop down trees in Minecraft? Thanks to this innovative modification, that era is over! Now you can create compact potted farms that automatically harvest everything you planted in clay pots.
How the System Works
The simple farm structure consists of two hoppers, an item frame with an axe inside, and a pot with your chosen sapling. Different types of axes have their own cooldown times between harvests:
- Wooden: 30 seconds
- Stone: 25 seconds
- Iron: 20 seconds
- Diamond and enchanted: 15 seconds
- Netherite: 10 seconds
- Golden: only 5 seconds

The axe gradually loses its durability during use, but the item will never be completely destroyed. When the tool has only 1 durability point left, it automatically moves to the hopper with collected resources for preservation. Special plant types—bamboo, dead bush, and cactus—don't reduce your tools' durability at all.
Simple Farm Creation
Place a hopper, install an item frame with your chosen axe on top. Then add up to 4 additional hoppers that direct items into the main hopper, and place pots with saplings on them.

You can increase farm productivity by adding extra hoppers connected to the main one (the one containing the axe and item frame).
Enchantments and Additional Features
Use the "Unbreaking" enchantment to make the axe last longer, or "Mending" so it doesn't lose durability at all. The "Silk Touch" enchantment allows collecting foliage instead of saplings along with wood.
The modification is carefully designed for maximum harmony with vanilla gameplay:
- Dark oaks may rarely yield apples instead of regular resources
- Mushrooms have a 33% chance to drop one mushroom, replicating giant mushroom mechanics
- Jungle trees can produce cocoa beans and vines
- Mangroves can yield roots, moss carpet, and vines
- Mushroom blocks harvest glowing mushroom lights
