Perennial Pastries

The Perennial Pastries mod significantly expands Minecraft's dessert selection by offering unique cakes and pumpkin pies for each new egg type introduced in the 1.21.5 update.

Main Features

The mod introduces two main categories of desserts:

• Chilled variants - crafted from blue eggs laid by chickens from cold biomes
• Spiced variants - made from brown eggs obtained from chickens in warm regions

Available Desserts

Currently, the mod adds four new treats:

• Chilled Cake
• Spiced Cake
• Chilled Pumpkin Pie
• Spiced Pumpkin Pie

Development Concept

The modification is created in the vanilla plus style - all added elements fit organically into Minecraft's original aesthetic and appear as if they've always been part of the game. The developers aim for consistency - each new egg type receives its own baked goods.

Future Plans

• Adding candles to cakes (requires complex modeling process)
• Possible differences in characteristics or effects of new cakes and pies
• Compatibility of cake recipes with eggs from other mods (currently uses minecraft:egg instead of the #minecraft:eggs tag)
