Pick-BlockState - Advanced Block Copying

The developer has discontinued support for this mod after Mojang changed the block selection mechanics, making further development impossible.

In the standard version of Minecraft, when using block selection (usually middle mouse button) in creative mode while holding the Ctrl key on blocks with entities (chests, hoppers, furnaces, campfires, and others), you get an item with saved data, such as the contents of a chest. This mod extends this functionality: if you use Ctrl + block selection on a regular block without an entity, it copies its current state - the direction it's facing, the activity of redstone devices, the lit state of a campfire, the presence of water in the block, and other parameters.

For example, when copying an upside-down stair facing west, you will always get exactly that configuration, regardless of which way your character is facing.
