PIONEER

Pioneer is a comprehensive mod that introduces diverse biomes and alters world generation in Minecraft. Its primary goal is to seamlessly complement the game's standard biomes while maintaining simplicity and staying close to the vanilla style. The mod includes the author's interpretation of popular tree types such as firs and redwoods.

The mod's content was separated from the Project: Vibrant Journeys project and starting from version 1.18.2 continues to develop as an independent modification.

Biomes

  • Aspen Grove - an autumn forest with maples, aspens, and oaks
  • Autumnal Coniferous Forest - a boreal forest with evergreen firs and bright yellow tamaracks
  • Baobab Fields - a savanna with majestic baobab trees
  • Boreal Forest - a cold but lush taiga of tall fir trees
  • Crystal Lakes - a wet boreal forest with amethyst crystals
  • Desert Shrubland - a grassy desert with joshua trees and new desert flora
  • Flooded Forest - a flooded forest rich in dripleaf sources
  • Old Growth Baobab Fields - a variant of baobab fields with a taller and denser canopy
  • Overgrown Spires - lush jungles with rocky spires reaching for the sky
  • Pine Meadows - an open field with pine trees and spruce shrubs, covered in diorite streaks
  • Prairie - an expanse of yellow prairie grass with occasional cottonwoods
  • Redwoods - a forest of giant sequoias
  • Red Rock Canyon - a lush variant of eroded badlands
  • Red Rock Cliffs - a green variant of badlands
  • Snowy Boreal Forest - snowy version of the boreal forest
  • Snowy Redwoods - snowy version of the redwood forest
  • Verdant Sands - a lush desert with strips of green grass
  • Willow Wetlands - a swamp with willow and mangrove trees, where sea pickles illuminate the area at night
  • Windswept Cliffs - a greener, mossy variant of stony peaks

Extras

  • Juniper trees - appear in badlands. Their leaves can be harvested for juniper berries, which serve as a food source in these harsh conditions.
  • Palm trees - grow on sandy beaches. They may have coconuts that can be crafted into coconut milk.
