Polysit
Polysit is a server-side mod for Fabric and Quilt that adds the ability to sit on various blocks. Based on Polymer technology, this mod works exclusively on the server side but also offers client enhancements for those who prefer extended functionality.
Installation
Requirements for the mod:
- Minecraft version from 1.19.3 to 1.21.4
- Polymer mod
- Choice of mod loader: Quilt with QSL or Fabric with Fabric API
Installation is required only on the server, but client enhancement is available for those who want it. The mod also works in singleplayer and over local network.
Usage
To sit, simply right-click on a slab, stairs, or bed. The /sit command is also available, allowing you to sit practically anywhere - even on a cactus if you have thorn immunity.
For clients with the mod installed, there's a hotkey "Sit" (default G) that similarly allows sitting anywhere provided Polysit is running on the server.
Important:
On servers with other mods or plugins containing the
/sitcommand, or when using outdated versions of Polysit, there may be differences in checks and smoothness of operation. If the server doesn't support or blocks the/sitcommand, the hotkey will be unavailable.
Compatibility
The mod is compatible with any mods implementing standard slabs, stairs, and beds. Scaling attribute and other size-changing mods like Pehkui are also supported.
Note:
In versions 1.20.1 and older, Pehkui support is limited. Errors related to scaling while sitting may occur. Mitigation measures are provided for other Polysit behavior features.
If any seat-like block doesn't work, you can report a bug.
Changes to Vanilla Logic
Polysit fixes various errors discovered during development:
- Moving the player out of blocks when standing up
- Forcing a smaller pose to avoid suffocation when getting off a seat
- Sending necessary packets to fix errors caused by Mojang's changes
- Ability to sit on beds during daytime
All these improvements ensure optimal user experience while maintaining logic close to vanilla.
