About the Modification

RealmRPG is a series of mods that add medieval fantasy elements to Minecraft in the spirit of vanilla gameplay. The Pots & Mimics mod significantly enriches the exploration and adventure aspects by adding mysterious treasure vessels containing random rewards to the world.

Although originally created for the Play as Dragon Gothic Edition modpack, it can be used either standalone or as part of any other modifications.

Note: Versions with the 🦎 emoji have beautiful animations and require GeckoLib installation. If animations don't work, disable entity shadows in shader settings.

Main Features

Treasure Vessels

Vessels image

"Remains of a forgotten civilization, scattered throughout underground caves"

  • Found in Overworld caves, Nether, and End
  • Contain random rewards, making exploration more diverse
  • Drop various materials and enchanted books when broken
  • Some vessels serve as hiding spots for crabs that can attack careless explorers
  • Requires Silk Touch enchantment to collect as a whole block
  • Have no biome restrictions, convenient when using with other mods
  • Rewards are customizable through loot tables using datapacks

Crab image

Decorative vessels are safe and craftable versions of treasure containers. They differ in inventory icon (without the gold nugget). Both vessel types can contain most plants, including plants from other mods.

Crafting recipes: Combine a dirt block with four bricks, nether bricks, or popped chorus fruits.

Underground Crabs

Regular crab animation

Regular Crab "Underground crabs that ambush unlucky adventurers"

  • Can spawn when breaking vessels in the Overworld
  • Slow and deals low damage
  • Drops 0-2 apples

Poison crab animation

Poison Crab "Dangerous crab species using venomous glands for hunting"

  • Rare variant of the regular crab
  • Can poison the target
  • Drops 0-2 spider eyes

Nether crab animation

Nether Crab "Distant relatives of earthly crabs living near molten lava"

  • Spawns when breaking vessels in the Nether
  • Medium health, speed, and knockback resistance
  • Can set the target on fire
  • Afraid of water and takes damage upon contact
  • Drops 0-2 golden carrots

Ender crab animation

Ender Crab "Crabs brought to this alien world by random explorers from the Overworld"

  • Spawns when breaking vessels in the End
  • High health and damage
  • Cannot be knocked back but knocks back the player
  • Has 30% chance to slow down the target
  • Drops 0-2 chorus fruits
