Project Table Refabricated
This Minecraft mod for Fabric 1.18.2 adds the Project Table block to the game - an item that will evoke pleasant memories for many players. It was once the primary crafting bench before Tinker's Construct crafting stations appeared.
Why This Mod Was Created
Development began as part of creating the Create: Astral modpack. In version 2.0.* we used Tinker's crafting stations but encountered issues such as unstable quest completion. The developers then remembered the good old Project Table and wanted to add it to the pack. However, finding a suitable version for Fabric 1.18.2 proved impossible, which became the impetus for creating this mod.
Key Features
- Full REI integration: the block is registered as a standard workbench for regular crafting and supports quick ingredient input
- Configurable additional storage: those who remember the original Project Table will likely recall the two additional item rows. This is the default in this version, but you can configure the number of rows from 0 to 5
- Polymorph compatibility: if this mod is installed, you'll be able to choose between conflicting recipes
Future Plans
Currently, this is a specialized mod for the Create: Astral modpack, so it will support the same Minecraft and modloader versions as the pack itself. When work on Create: Astral slows down and I have time, I plan to make the mod multi-loader and update it for newer game versions.
