Prospecting Hammers Mod - A Miner's Dream

This exceptional addon provides players with various geological hammers that function as underground metal detectors. When activated with a right click on any block, these ingenious tools instantly scan a specific area around and notify through the game chat about presence of valuable minerals.

Using them is incredibly simple - just right-click on the block that interests you. The hammer's smart mechanism will immediately conduct geological exploration in a certain radius and clearly inform you whether nearby resources are present.

- Wooden Hammer: 128 uses, scanning volume 3×3×5 - Stone variant: 256 uses, checking area 4×4×7 - Copper: allows 384 uses with coverage zone of 5×5×11 - Iron model: durability 512, scans sector 7×7×15 - Golden Hammer: despite modest 256 uses, covers massive 16×16×33 - Diamond version: most reliable with 1536 uses and scanning 12×12×15 - Obsidian tool: lasts 512 times with penetration depth 5×5×25 - Emerald newcomer: added in version 1.1, has 768 uses and volume 16×16×7

How Scanning Actually Works

Search parameters are displayed as Width×Height×Depth. "Width" refers to X dimension for most directions or Z for east/west orientation. The "height" parameter indicates Y for horizontal directions and Z for up/down. Depth corresponds to how far the tool "looks" forward from your aim - Y for vertical direction, X and Z for respective orientation.
