Protect My Pets!

This modification introduces a new useful item into the game — the Golden Tag. By equipping it on your pet, you make them invulnerable to all types of damage as long as the tag has durability.

Configuration Settings

The configuration file, available at the following paths depending on the loader:

• NeoForge: config/Protect My Pets/protect-my-pets_config.toml
• Forge: world/serverconfig/Protect My Pets/protect-my-pets_config.toml

Allows custom configuration of the following parameters:

• Which specific creatures can receive the tag
• The initial durability value of the tag

How Does It Work?

When a pet wears the Golden Tag, any damage they receive is absorbed by the tag's durability. Complete depletion of durability causes the tag to break, after which you'll need to craft a new one. The tag cannot be repaired.

To remove the tag from your pet, perform a specific action: hold Shift and right-click on the pet while holding shears. If you perform the same action with nothing in hand, information about the pet's tag durability will appear on screen.
