Animal Tamer
Expand your Minecraft world with new animal taming capabilities! This mod enables interaction with mobs that were previously untamable.
Key Features
You can tame the following creatures:
- Rabbits - use wheat for taming, while holding Shift and clicking places them on your head for convenient transport
- Foxes - attract them with chicken meat, and use Shift + right-click to make them drop items
- Ocelots - also tamed with chicken
- Pandas - require wheat for taming, and when activated with Shift they perform a fun roll
- Polar Bears - enjoy raw cod and stand up on their hind legs with a special command
Special Pet Abilities
- Dolphins - tamed with tropical fish, can be used as a vehicle, switched between resting and free-swimming modes
- Pigs and Striders - tamed with wheat and crimson fungus respectively, can switch between rest, wandering, and following master modes
- Cows, Sheep, and Chickens - sheep and cows require grass, chickens wheat
Technical Details
The mod is fully server-side compatible - it only needs to be installed on the server, clients can connect with the original game version. Tamed animals gain immunity to all damage except falling into the void or attacks from the owner.
From version 1.11, configuration settings are available for adding custom mobs, though capabilities are limited and not all may work equally well.
